When you are thinking about getting a website, the first thing you want to make sure is that you have a really good website name (a.k.a domain name). Why you may ask? Because your domain name, is like a store name for the web.

So, when you are picking your domain name you want to make sure that it's relevant to your business and relevant to the keywords that people are going to type to search for your website.

For example, let's say I was to pick a domain name call "MarkKumar.com". The next thing I will be asking myself is that what the relevant keywords to this domain name that I want people to type in the search engines (Google, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Bing and etc) while looking for this website

People could type in "mark kumar" or "kumar mark" in the search engines. So, if they type in any one of these keywords, the search engines will bring up "MarkKumar.com" website.

Let's take a look at another example. It could be "YourDomainName.com". For this, particular domain name. People could type in "your domain name" or "name your domain" or "domain your name". Any one of these keywords will bring up "YourDomainName.com" website.

Here is another example. I am sure you have heard a little website call "Facebook.com". This website only has 8 billion register members in 27 different countries. Also, there was a movie made about it call "The Social Network". So, when you want to look for this website. You would type in keywords – "face book" or "book face".

So, let's say if we type in the following keywords – "mark kumar stuff website" or "kumar mark website stuff" or "website mark kumar stuff" or "stuff mark website kumar" or "website stuff mark kumar". What kind of website do you think the google will bring up?
You may be thinking that's easy the search engines (Google, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Bing and etc) will bring up "http://MarkKumarStuffWebsite.com" or "http://KumarMarkStuffWebsite.com" or "http://MarkKumarStuff.com/Website".

Let's take a look at our last example. A website call "ArticlesBase.com". In case, if you have not heard of this website or domain before. This website will allow you to submit your articles for free. Some people also refer to this site as "free articles submit directory". For this domain, you would type in "articles base" or "base articles".
